In month two of trading as a community coffee shop we’re delighted to continue to need to grow and increase our team to better serve all who come to frequent Next Door Hextable.

All paid vacancies have now been filled: volunteer applications are still welcomed…

• Cover Chef: at £11per hour, with flexible hours & days. Together with the cafe team to develop and deliver creative, simple and accessible menu options.

• Kitchen assistant: at £9.50 per hour, for Wednesday & Thursday role is only temporary for around 6-8 weeks, with Saturday 9am-3pm also. Food prep, washing up, under the direction of the catering lead. Level 2 food hygiene is need to be completed before starting, with training possible.

• Barista and front counter: for Wednesday 10am-3pm and Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10.30-2.30pm It could be a job share. Barista skills are helpful, but training can be provided. £10 per hour. There is flexibility so you could cover when other staff are off. Under the direction of the cafe manager, serving customers, operating the EPOS system, clearing tables and enabling the flourishing of our venue.

• Volunteers: sharing across the life of the cafe from kitchen food prep, pot-washing, front counter and elsewhere as you feel confident. We would welcome a regular commitment from you, but in return, we will offer full training, benefits and an opportunity that you will find very rewarding. We’re looking for volunteers who will give four hours, twice a month, or more.
